For 10 years, Post Typography’s designs and illustrations have developed a memorable brand for the world’s largest sustainable building event. Greenbuild Next, held in Toronto in 2011, focused on the future of the green building movement. Our logo design activates the space between E and X to create a forward-pointing arrow that resembles a house.
Our advertising campaign highlighted USGBC’s Project Haiti, which is using green building practices to help Haiti recover from the devastating 2010 earthquake. Sideways photographs emphasize the dual nature of the house/arrow, pointing forward and serving as an implicit call to action for the green building community.
We complemented the photo-driven ad campaign with a series of semi-abstract pencil illustrations. These hand-drawn illustrations brought human and forward-looking qualities to the conference’s “Next” theme.
