With the release of their 2017 album The Far Field, Future Islands planned a massive three-part tour in the US, Europe, Australia and beyond. Inspired by the band’s lyrical themes of home and life on the road, we overlaid a fictional roadmap with constellations drawn from Future Islands lyrics.
The illustration connects across the three oversized tour posters to create a giant triptych. Screenprinting with clear gloss and metallic inks creates beautiful, luminous effects that shift under different lights.
